If you guys loved the original XXX where Vin Diesel starred as the action junkie that started working for the NSA in an attempt to over throw the worst and most feared gang in Russian crime history, then not only are you going to enjoy this, but The Hurricane Heist is about to become your new favorite movie. Not because it has the same storyline as the original XXX, but because its directed by the exact same creators, and boasts a very similar style of action from start to finish, pretty much an adrenaline overload that kept me on the edge of my seat from the time they started planning the heist to the very last car chase scene, which by the way is absolutely sensational and on par with what we saw towards the end of the first Bad Boys. Headed by Rob Cohen who incidentally also brought us The Fast and The Furious and starring of the most profound names in Hollywood such as Ralph Ineson (Guardians of the Galaxy), Ben Cross (First Knight) and the delicious Melissa Bolona who is probably best know for her award winning role in Acts Of Violence. Come along for the ride of your life in of the most original bank heist film I have ever seen, and by me saying that, it is saying a whole bunch. Why? Because as all of our long time viewers know, my all time favorite bank heist film, and in my opinion, one of the best films ever made is Heat starring the exceedingly masculine Robert De Niro, and all time best Italian actor in history Al Pacino. That said, be prepared for the hottest, fastest and most action saturated film I have had the privilege of reviewing for you. Premised around the highly thought out and intricately planned robbery of the National Mint (guys remember, this is where all the U.S Dollar bills are actually printed) that somehow manages to coincide with not only a hurricane, but a Category 5 hurricane which is the absolute highest and strongest type of hurricane you actually get. Nonetheless, both the cops and the thieves dive in headfirst and despite the gargantuan threat of natural disaster, all parties still have only one thing on their mind, getting the single biggest container of cash out and into the “safe zone.” All is good and well though until about half way through when we start learning of a pretty dark secret which question the very motives of the police themselves. Are they getting the cash back for the government, or have they too been influenced by the Green!? Extremely original storyline, monumental acting and really the biggest amount of cash I have ever seen, even bigger than that 80 000 000 we saw in those barrels in Breaking Bad. Only one mark I have against this almost perfect motion picture and that is I just found them to be using a bit too much CGI than necessary, but then again, if you have a look at the cast itself, this film is largely targeted toward the millennials of today.
