Allow me to commence by being exceedingly forthcoming, and while I know that what I am about to say is doing to get me a lot of slack, and a lot of hate, my job is NOT to be as agreeing with you as possible, remember that. No ways, not in a million lightyears. My job, and my only job is to bring you, in my opinion the express truth about what I thought at the first screening on a new release. Moreover, my job is to let you know of my experience after watching a production. That said, and maybe you want to be sitting down for this. Pacific Rim, was the WORST film, I saw in not only the whole of 2013, but also in the whole of 2014 as well. So just imagine how awful it must have been to be ranked as 1 out of 10 for over 700 consecutive days. Anyway, that is not why we are here today. Though, I must just leave you with this, so that we both have clarity on where I am actually coming from. Pacific Rim is on par with the South African Production, Chappie. There, I have said it enough, lets speak of this no more. That said, and now you coming from where I am coming from, you can surely understand my reluctanceee to watch Pacific Rim Uprising. Now, you all know, when I am wrong, I will be the first to admit it. Case in point being Okja and John Wick: Chapter 2, because they were both exceptional despite my initial expectations! So here we are again, I was wrong to base my expectations on the first film. Uprising is exceptional, exuberant and BURSTING WITH ORIGINALITY. Boasting an entirely new cast, this time round we get to know Nate as Scott Eastwood, Jules as Adria Arjona, and the naturally whimsical Line as Tian Jing! Astounding craftsmanship was displayed by Steven S. DeKnight, as apposed to the “Lord Of CGI Overload" Guillermo del Toro in the previous creation. This time round though, it is not only the cast that has been upgraded, hows this, I found the entire film to not only be an amalgamation between the whole Transformers Franchise and the whole Jurassic Park franchise, but I also found exact scene replications which just suited me terrifically, as in my opinion those are of the two most entertaining and well put together strains of Motions Picture. Premised around Jake leading a life pretty much the exact opposite to what his dad hoped for, he is forced to let go of the hurt he has always kept bottled up since he left, and transmute that into a nuclear explosion of well planned and executed fight against an unexpected arrival of exceedingly advanced aliens that only the robots can compare to! What I particularly loved here was the new inclusion of humor, but also, and most importantly, the exclusion of unnecessary CGI parts, which radically and noticeably increase the realism factor! Just exploding with action, new stunt work and the ideal film for the whole family, especially the action Sci-fi enthusiasts!
